No less than two million liters are made of this blend and it is one of Rutini's best sellers. 45% is malbec, 45% is cabernet sauvignon and the remaining 10% (which is not stated on the label) is merlot to "give the blend softness" says winemaker Mariano di Paola. It is a red that is halfway between maturity and sweetness and freshness and tension. Aged for 12 months in oak, it has toasted touches, sweet spices, but soft fruits and firm, sharp tannins. The came for a nice juicy cut of meat on the grill.
